Hello 👋
I'm Toby Sinclair, the creator and coach of this certified program.
For the last decade I’ve been leading Employee Experience programs at JP Morgan Chase. I coached C-Level executives all the way to graduates starting their careers.
Now I’m taking this knowledge to help more leaders transform the experience at their workplace.
I have a unique blend of skills and experience I bring to this program. I spent 7 years working as a software developer and over the past 7 years, I've been focused on the psychology of organisational performance.
I'm a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation. Many coaches claim to be professionals but few have undertaken rigorous training. To get this credential means I've completed 125hrs of training and delivered over 500hrs coaching conversations.
I believe that your role as a leader is to create an environment that unlocks the potential in people. You can do this best by mastering high impact coaching skills.
Maybe you've tried coaching before. But, time and time again, you fall off. Something comes up. What starts off exciting becomes too difficult. And before you know it, you're back to square one. But this is because there was no accountability.
You tried to start coaching on your own, almost doomed from the beginning. But this certified program solves that problem. You learn through high engagement 1-1 sessions with a program personalized to your goals.
This creates accountability, unlike anything you've ever experienced.
Coaching doesn’t always come naturally. When you are under pressure, the default is often to command. To just tell people straight. Whilst that can be useful, many situations call for a different approach. A more coach-like style of leadership.
Lead like a Coach is fundamentally about changing leadership habits.
Helping you to:
✅ Ask more, tell less
✅ Listen more, assume less
✅ Invite more, shut down less
✅ Pause more, speak less
✅ Reflect more, rush less
You can’t think your way to change. You must act. That is why this program focuses on the daily actions that add up.
What makes this program unique?
This is different to the 100's of coaching courses out there, in three ways. Firstly, you'll learn the unique coaching approach I've applied with executives in the workplace. Secondly, you will learn through daily challenges that help you build the habit of coaching. Thirdly, this program is certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The gold standard for coach certification. Learn more about certification.
Who is this program best suited for?
Leaders who are familiar with coaching, but now want to take their skills to a professional level. It's likely you'll be a manager or department leader. However, you don't need to be a in a direct management role. You could be a Product Leader or People Operations leader, overseeing people and culture, but without the direct management.
How many people will be in this program?
Cohorts are limited to 8 people. This ensures good diversity and plenty of practice partners. It’s also smalled enough to ensure we can go deep into challenging topics.
Is there any form of certification or recognition upon completion?
You will get Level 1 Training Certificate from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The gold standard for coach certification. Upon completion of a Level 1 programme you can then apply for the ACC Credential once you have logged at least 100 hours of coaching practice. These hours will start from your first day of enrolment on an ICF training programme.
What is the ICF Certification?
The ICF Certification refers to the credentialing process provided by the International Coach Federation (ICF), a globally recognized organization for professional coaching.
The ICF offers three main levels of certification: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Master Certified Coach (MCC).
These certifications require specific training hours, coaching experience, mentor coaching, and successful completion of an examination or performance evaluation to demonstrate proficiency in coaching competencies.
What's different between ICF Levels 1 and 2?
Essentially it refers to the depth of your training in coaching. You can opt to complete a Level 1 or a Level 1 and 2 together giving you more training hours, mentoring and support as a coach.
The Level 1 Certification is the entry point for many coaches who wish to achieve the ACC Credential. The Level 1 program provides a foundation for professional coaching showing you how to structure your sessions and programmes in line with the ICF Competencies.
Where is the ICF recognised?
The International Coach Federation (ICF) is recognized and respected worldwide as a leading organization for professional coaching. Its certifications are recognized in many countries across the globe. The ICF has chapters and affiliates in numerous countries, and its coaching standards and competencies are widely accepted in the coaching industry internationally.
What about confidentiality?
I take confidentiality very seriously, and expect the same for everyone in the cohort.
Because the workshop will ask participants to engage in coaching conversations on topics they are facing at work, the sessions will not be recorded.
Can I expense this program with my employer?
Absolutely, if you have a learning and development budget, you will be able to expense this program. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist with reimbursement.
Is this program worth it the money?
There are expenses, and there are investments. Expenses have no long-term returns. When you spend money on a club sandwich, a hotel room, or a concert ticket, you simply get lunch, a vacation, or a show. But with an investment, you get what you pay for and something more over time. The best investments deliver multiples of an ROI. You can sell your house or a stock for more money than you bought them for. And investing in your ideas can help you leap to a new career or double your income.
This program is an investment. Sure, the program lasts twelve weeks. But it pays dividends for life.
